We are excited to take another major step in improving the service quality within our District.  
Effective immediately, our EMS crews will have immediate access to deliver whole blood to critical patients prior to arrival at the hospital.  
Having partnered with South Texas Regional Advisory Council (STRAC) and the blood bank, our Battalion Chief will carry the unit of blood that is available 24/7 should a patient be a candidate for this life saving treatment.
